About our founder

Growing up across several countries, Adele developed a natural passion for understanding people — how they develop, grow, and change throughout their lives.


Across her career in corporate leadership positions, she found she loved seeing people succeed in creating and living a life that they are excited about. People needed to better understand themselves to recognise what they were naturally good at and be encouraged to do more. What was missing was the awareness of what might be holding them back- insecurities, fears, societal norms. She found the key to better understanding, self-acceptance and the permission to be who they are was curiosity that fuelled self-awareness.

Adele decided to take her experience with supporting the development of others from her years in the fields of Human Resources and education and make that her focus. She built on her early undergraduate work in psychology by returning to the University of British Columbia for their intensive coaching programme to more fully develop her insights, ideas and skill with transformational coaching. Since then, Adele has coached leaders at all stages of development and corners of the globe with creating and sustaining transformational change. She is certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Professional Coach (PCC) and Team Coach (ACTC).

Adele realized early in her career that there is magic that happens when people move forward with patience and persistence through intentional conversation. She loves the idea that you can never reverse the process of growth and expansion that occurs when you see, hear, or experience something you hadn’t before. She wanted to create a place where this kind of transformation and development could be accessed reliably. The result is Sagebear.
